SBZ-3008 Simmer Module

SBZ-3008 is a high-power modification of SBZ-2008 simmer supply. Model is forced air-cooled and suitable for dual-flashlamp operations. The main parameters are as follows:

  • Input – 24 VDC
  • Max. output voltage – 300 V
  • Output current – 300-800 mA (factory preset)
  • Max. output power – 100 W

Description

Simmer supply is the device that strikes and maintains low-current discharge in the flashlamp in order to increase its lifetime and operation stability.

SBZ-3008 simmer supply is powered from +24 VDC source. It embeds all the circuits necessary not only for maintaining of low-current discharge, but also for simmer ignition as well – the gas discharger for production of high voltage and high energy triggering pulse and the auxiliary 1400 V open-circuit voltage supply. Ignition transformer is not included in SBZ-2008 and sold separately.

SBZ-3008 is a powerful device able to drive up to two typical flashlamps connected in series (please read user manual for the details how to organize simmer triggering in that case). Module is cooled with embedded fan. In case of current interruption it automatically restrikes with approximately 3 Hz repetition rate until the discharge is restored. The simmer supply can be used in laser systems with either serial or parallel (external) triggering without any changes.
