PDD-300 High-Power Pulsed Diode Driver

PDD-300 is a series of high-power pulsed diode drivers, which are fast-switching, low-noise, accurate and efficient current sources for laser diodes. It was developed, first of all, for medical and medical aesthetic treatments, namely, for hair removal applications.

PDD-300 has averaged output power up to 300 W and maximum peak output power up to 5000 W (depending on user defined I_max and V_max), runs on common 100‑240 V AC, 50/60 Hz, so you don’t need extra power supply for the drivers. More powerful series are PDD-1600 and PDD-1000.

Several variants of PDD-300 are offered with different maximum output voltage level (V_max), selected from 20 V to 50 V at the moment of order. Higher output voltages are available on request. We would recommend to pick V_max as close as possible to your diodes operating voltage in order to provide the optimal working mode of the device.

During operation an output current level could be set up in a working range (0 A ‑ I_max) by user, applying a DC voltage to the respective pin.

Since the driver was specially designed for hair removal applications, it is fully compliant to the latest versions of medical standards: IEC 60601-1:2005/AMD1:2012 for electrical safety and IEC 60601-1-2:2014 for EMC, so PDD 300 can be used in medical systems without any modifications, any additional filtration or additional means of protection.
