Product Description

FLD-4U is a family of flashlamp drivers (syn. laser power supplies) for pulsed flashlamp pumped solid-state lasers such as Nd:YAG, Er:YAG, CTH:YAG, Alexandrite etc.

FLD-4U drivers are complete, all-in-one solutions and include all neccessary subsystems – Capacitor Bank, Capacitor Charging Power Supply, Simmer Supply and Discharge Circuit (s).

This module can be equipped with up to two output channels, and up to two flashlamps arranged in-series can be connected to each channel. This way each FLD-4U is capable of simultaneous driving of up to four flashlamps. If each channel operates from its own CCPS, their outputs can be tptally independent.

Drivers are 19”-rack mounted. Height is 4U, depth is around 400mm.

All critical pumping parameters – Output Voltage, Pulse Width, Pulse Repetition Rate, etc. – can be adjusted via front panel user interface (7” color display and touchscreen panel) and/or RS-232 machine interface.

Several options are available:

  • One or two channel modifications (channels aren’t independent if single CCPS is used, otherwise they can operate with different parameters);
  • Different output voltages (up to 1350 V);
  • Different output powers (up to 4000 W);
  • Different parameters adjustment ranges;
  • Serial or parallel triggering;
  • Interfaces – display/touchscreen-based GUI is supplied by default;
  • Pockels cell driver as an option;
  • Modifications with complete discharge could be discussed.

In addition, drivers can be equipped with external capacitor banks units with the possible capacitances up to:

  • 28,000 µF/900 V
  • 80,000 µF/700 V
  • 112,000 µF/450 V

On request the next options are available:

  • High Power/Current/Voltage IGBT with extended parameters;
  • Digital RS-232/RS-485 interface;
  • Different Cables;
  • Different simmering and/or triggering parameters.

Let us know all the essential parameters of the flashlamp and flashlamp driver, namely:
– Flashlamp type, datasheet or drawing, filling, arc length, bore, Ko (cold impedance);
– Working regime/regimes – pulse voltage, pulse width, pulse repetition rate;
– Other requirements – bank capacitance, acceptable voltage droop during the pulse, interfaces, synchronizations and so on;
